Aluminium sheet is rust resistant and very light. This sheet metal is non-magnetic and very easy to recycle. It has uses across the board including aircraft, food and drink packaging and bicycles.
Aluminium is made from bauxite that is ground into tiny particles and dipped into hot caustic soda and lime. This extracts the aluminium oxide which after filtering and heating is combined with electricity and carbon to create liquid aluminium that can then be set into aluminium ingots. These are often rolled into aluminium sheets.
